Adams Park
Omaha, Nebraska
Trail Overview
The Gateway Green Trail, located adjacent to the bicycle playground and pump track zone, provides a beginner singletrack experience for new riders in a safe and visible location.
An intermediate cross-country loop provides added mileage and opportunity for less beginner riders (think older siblings)
The chip seal connector trail provides an all-weather connection to the chip seal trails across John A. Creighton Blvd. and East of Adam’s Park Rd.
East of Adam’s Park Rd. is a flow trail experience zone with an all-weather climbing and return trail, an all-weather “Next Steps” Blue Flow Trail that provides a highly bike-optimized flow experience with rollers and berms and a chip seal surface, and a natural surface black flow trail. This zone provides trail experiences for riders to look forward to progressing into.
Summary
Adams Park, a 67-acre urban oasis nestled between Bedford and Maple Streets, is now home to Omaha’s latest natural surface trail destination. This rolling, tree-dotted landscape was identified in the Omaha Natural Surface Trails Feasibility Study as an ideal location for community-centered trail development. Guided by the Omaha Parks Adams Park Master Plan and shaped by local input, the project was expertly designed by IMBA Trail solutions—the international gold standard in trail building.
Now open in the southeast corner of the park, there is a network of progressive flow trails designed for year-round mountain bike riding. On the northwest side, visitors will find a pump track, a skills zone, and several natural surface trail loops in the trees that offer something for every age, ability, and level of adventure.
Adams Park is more than a trailhead—it’s a vibrant, evolving space where nature, community, and movement come together.
