Good Vibes Ride: Community Appreciation Day

We’ve got something new (and seriously fun) The Good Vibes Ride! Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 28, from 12–5 PM at Platte River State Park and get ready for an afternoon of pure trail community magic.

This isn’t your typical ride with a start gun or podium finish. Nope — this is all about what makes our trail crew tick: fresh air, fun rides, and the awesome people who keep our trails rolling. Think: cruising the trails, lounging in the grass, swapping stories, and maybe discovering new riding friends.

While you’re kicking back, the THOR team will be on grill duty serving up tasty eats, cold drinks, and a stash of giveaways — because what’s a Good Vibes Ride without a little swag?

Here’s your checklist:

Your best bike, A comfy lawn chair, Maybe a shade tent, Your biggest smile.

We dreamed up this event as our way of saying thank you — for every volunteer hour, every shared ride, and every ounce of support you’ve given to keep our trails alive and thriving.

So come ride, relax, and recharge with the community that makes it all possible. Good vibes guaranteed.

Questions or want to pitch in? We’re all ears. Let’s make this a party in the woods to remember! We’re looking for volunteers, sign-up and get some sweet swag! Reach out to the crew - community@thortrails.org

About Platte River State Park:

Quaint Platte River State Park is nestled halfway between Nebraska’s two largest cities — Lincoln and Omaha. Before it was a state park it was two separate camps — Harriet Harding Campfire Girls Camp and Camp Esther K. Newman — and a tract of woodlands. The charming, vintage cabins that once housed campers today provide cozy accommodations, while the gorgeous new glamping cabins offer a luxurious, yet nature-immersive, experience. Campers may also enjoy a state-of-the-art campground with 48 full-hookup campsites. Other popular draws are the park’s picturesque waterfall, spray park, scenic hiking and biking trails and two observation towers that allow those who climb to the top a spectacular view of the Platte River Basin.
