Join us for a Community Dig Day at Calvin Crest! Have you been asking yourself, "I wonder what the trail conditions are like at Calvin Crest?" Let's get together for some springtime trail work, consisting of clearing branches and organic debris from the trail corridor, string trimming if needed, and continued work on hand-building the reroute of "Five Bridges."
What is a Community Dig Day?
Community Dig Days are designed to bring our trail community together to get some trail work done and most importantly, have fun! Trails Have Our Respect staff will facilitate and guide trail work, which may include corridor clearing, enhancing trail tread, erosion control, and creating rolling grade dips. Our trail day builder(s) will explain what to do and the work.
Dig Days typically run for 2-4 hours. Every official trail day begins with a safety talk and an overview of the work planned for the day. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend public trail days. Volunteers do not need any previous experience working on trails
What you should bring to trail work days: Closed-toe shoes, ideally work or hiking boots. Wear clothes appropriate for the weather, gloves, and gear for working outdoors: sunscreen, water, and a water container.
Parking & Meet up Location:
Look for the T.H.O.R. tent near the Camp’s parking area. We'll get rolling with a meet & mingle and safety review at 9 AM—See you there!
