Mandan Park

Omaha, Nebraska

Summary

Mandan Park offers a welcoming network of natural surface trails winding through a dramatic woodland landscape. These wider-than-average paths climb and contour the park’s hillsides, creating an enjoyable experience for walkers, runners, and cyclists. Most routes are two-way, so please stay alert and share the trail courteously. A paved former park road also provides a comfortable option for those who prefer a smooth stroll through the trees.

In 2023, six new natural surface trails were completed—totaling 3.29 miles—and include optional features for mountain bike riders. As trail development continues, THOR and Omaha Parks & Recreation are committed to fostering connection, healthy activity, and nature exploration for the entire community.

A Community Trail Vision Taking Shape

Mandan Park in South Omaha was built to be a welcoming greenspace for families and kids. Working alongside PACE, the City of Omaha, IMBA Trail Solutions, and community partners, we’ve helped bring that vision forward by adding four miles of beginner-friendly natural surface trails and a dedicated skills area to this 18-acre park. Together, we’re expanding equitable access to trails and creating more opportunities for youth and families to connect with nature close to home.
