CANCELED - TAP Trail Day at Swanson Park

  • Swanson Park 3110 Cornhusker Road Bellevue, NE, 68147 United States (map)

⚠️ TAP Training Cancellation

Due to muddy and wet trail conditions at Swanson Park, we're canceling tomorrow's TAP training event.

Thank you to everyone who signed up — your enthusiasm and flexibility mean the world to us. We'll be back in touch soon with more volunteer and training opportunities.

The trails will be ready for us another day! 🌿

Updated April 3rd, 4pm.

Join us at Swanson Park as we kick off the Trails Adoption Program (TAP) for the season.

We’ll spend the morning clearing debris, trimming back overgrowth, and getting the trail corridor ready for spring riding. It’s simple work, but it makes a big difference. Every branch moved and every section cleared helps keep the trails safe, fun, and flowing for the whole community.

The Trail Adoption Program (TAP), designed to support and inspire our wonderful community! This program invites volunteers and local organizations to become trail stewards. By adopting our cherished community trails, volunteers play a vital part in keeping them safe, enjoyable, and sustainable for everyone to appreciate.

TAP Education & Training
Volunteers will learn how to log hours, understand TAP expectations, and work effectively in teams — building connection and ownership of the trail.

No experience necessary. THOR will provide guidance and education throughout the morning, including tool safety, basic maintenance techniques, and what to look for when caring for your adopted section. You’ll be supported every step of the way.

What to bring:
• Work gloves
• Closed-toe shoes
• Water
• Loppers or hand saws (if you have them)
• Bug spray

We’ll begin at 9:00 AM with a brief safety overview and plan for the day, then break into small teams to get started. Afterward, feel free to stay, ride, and connect with fellow trail supporters.

Taking ownership of our trails keeps them strong. We hope you’ll join us.
