Memorial Day Weekend Volunteer Trail Days at Platte River State Park

  • Platte River State Park 14421 346th Street Louisville, NE, 68037 United States (map)

Recent rains turned things green fast, and the overgrowth is keeping up — tools ready, trails waiting.

If you have a spare hour or two over the long weekend, or are planning to head to PRSP to ride anyway, why not take a little time to give back to the trails!?

The THOR Volunteer Tool Trailer will be at Platte River State Park Trail System (Teepee lot) starting mid-day Friday, May 22, through mid-day Tuesday, May 25th.

Anytime (Tool Pick Up).

This is an un-led, unsupervised opportunity for volunteers looking to do some trimming work at PRSP over Memorial Day Weekend. Anyone who wants to do trail maintenance in the park MUST report to the PRSP office to complete their own liability waiver before starting work. Please respect the park staff and their rules. We're simply providing tools for volunteers who want to help clear overgrowth.

The THOR volunteer trail trailer will be parked at the TeePee lot on the west side of the park and stocked with fuel, string trimmers (both walk-behind and traditional), PPE, and other hand tools.

Please sign up, and we'll provide further instructions for access to the tools.
