Celebrating Our Trail Volunteers
Our trails wouldn't be what they are without the incredible people who give their time to care for them. We thank you.
First, we'd like to recognize our Top Three Volunteers through June 30, 2026. Thank you, Eric Geiger, Kyle Hansen, and Todd Zimmerman, for your outstanding commitment to our trail systems. Your countless hours of hard work and dedication have made a lasting impact on the trails and the communities that enjoy them. We are truly grateful for all you do.
While we're celebrating these three volunteers, this thank-you extends to everyone who has volunteered this year. Whether you joined a community trail day, adopted a trail through TAP, trimmed trail corridors, cleared debris, mowed, repaired trail, or picked up litter, you've helped make our trails safer, more enjoyable, and more welcoming for all.
Want to get more involved? We'd love to have you join THOR's Trail Adoption Program (TAP). It's a simple, flexible way to care for the trails you love on your own schedule. As a TAP volunteer, you can log your hours, earn THOR swag as you reach volunteer milestones, and become part of a growing community of trail stewards making a real difference.
Logging Volunteer Hours
If you've volunteered, please remember to log your hours in Trailforks or Bloomerang so we can send you the THOR swag you’ve earned! It only takes a minute, but those hours are incredibly important. They help THOR tell the story of your impact, demonstrate the value of volunteer stewardship, strengthen partnerships with land managers, secure grant funding, and advocate for more trail resources throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa.
If you need assistance with logging hours, please reach out to melissa@thortrails.org
Thank you for giving your time, sharing your passion, and helping us create More Trails Close to Home. Every volunteer hour matters, and together we're making a lasting difference.
